The Hunger Games!

My Favorite book series right now is definitely The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. I love it so much because my favorite character, Katniss Everdeen, is a strong female who fights hard for what she believes in. I also like to imagine what I would do if I was a player in the games.

The Hunger Games is a really great novel. It has plenty of action & a lot of suspense.

Here is what it says on the back of the book:

“In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh & cruel & keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy & one girl between the ages of twelve & eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister’s place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before & survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity & life against love.”

The first book is definitely the best, but if you enjoy it you should definitely check out the other two as well, because they help finish the story and are exciting reads themselves. There is also another book by Suzanne Collins called The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes, which takes place years before the Hunger Games books. I will be doing a review for that book as well.

I recommend the Hunger Games trilogy for grades 5 & up, just because it is pretty violent in some parts. I will be rating on a scale of 1-5 😄. I give the Hunger Games trilogy 5/5 😄😄😄😄😄

I hope you guys have a good day & happy reading!
