Hey guys Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topic is: Bookish Goals for 2023.

Book read goal:

In 2022 I read about 62 books, including a few audiobooks. So, for 2023 I want to read at least 80 books. Although more would be great.

This year I want to read a lot of fantasy, but I would also like to explore more horror, contemporary, historical fiction and dystopian. If you have any suggestions for me of books in these (or any) genres, please tell me in the comments!

Last year I got a lot of books and haven’t really read any of them! At this point I have over 100 books on my physical TBR! (😳) This year I’m going to try to get through some of these books, so I’m going to use a method that I first found on YouTube, by a creator named i s a b e l l a ☺

This method is really simple, you just turn all your books backwards, so the pages are facing out, and then you just use a random number generator, ask a family member for a random number, etc. to determine which book you read next! I’m really hoping that this method will help me, and that it might even stop me from getting so many books at the library, or bookstores!

Speaking of bookstores, this year I’m going to try to buy less books… It may be a futile effort, since I always want more, but I’m still going to try!
